Mikaela Monet, formally known as ALAYA, is a Venezuelan singer songwriter, actress and performance coach. Mikaela was named “Latin Artist on the Rise”, also one of the “5 Latin Female Acts to Watch” by Billboard magazine. In 2020 the artist was nominated in the “Best New Artist Female” category, among artists like Rosalia, for “Premios lo Nuestro” (one of the most prestigious Latin Music Awards Show in the United States).

She mastered the art of performance by captivating audiences through shows, music videos and movies and also honing her skills in Valencia, Venezuela where she studied at “Unidad Artistico Integral María Callas” and "MI Musicians Institute", in Los Angeles, California, where she graduated with a degree in “Vocal and Artist Performance”.

My mission is to help the artists discover the expressive power that they were not aware already existed within. I understand the artist’s perspective and help evoke their maximum potential, highlighting their unique personalities and presence on and off stage, to truly engage and captivate an audience on their own terms.

What I learned along the way

Throughout the years of experience in the music industry, and being an artist myself, I’ve noticed how artists often underestimate their creative ability and performance presence wether it is through a lens or in live performances. I’ve seen that some of the most frustrating parts and the biggest missed opportunities for artists is achieving an authentic creative expression.
